Robert Homer “Bobby” Hand, 68 years old of Moulton, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at North Alabama Medical Center. Visitation will be from 11:30 AM till 1:30 PM on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Lawrence Funeral Home. There will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Owens Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Ronald Oliver officiating. Burial will be in Owens Chapel Cemetery.
Bobby was an avid sportsman, he played basketball at Mt. Hope School and loved football and hunting. He served his country in the US Army. Bobby and his mother, Willie Wilkerson Hand, owned a country store in Youngtown for 30 plus years and both enjoyed raising livestock. Bobby enjoyed his community and his friends and loved each visit they made to the country store.
Survivors include his aunts; Elree Wilkerson Parker, Clara Nell Wilkerson LouAllen, Elsie Farley and Betty McCullar and his uncle, Charles Myers many cousins and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Homer and Willie Wilkerson Hand, his grandparents; Bertie Wilkerson, Jim Wilkerson, Cecil Hand and Mattie Hand.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Brewer, Jake Dutton, Ricky LouAllen, Mack LouAllen, Steven Flannagin and Wayne Mitchell.
The family extends special thanks to the Youngtown community, family and friends for all their visits and love shown to Bobby.
