Alma Lee McDonald

Alma Lee McDonald, 78, of Town Creek, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, June 22, 2026, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Lawrence Funeral Home with Barbara Letson and Waymon Pace officiating. Burial will be at Rock Springs Cemetery.

Born on June 11, 1948, to Ethel Myers. Alma loved her flowers and gardening. She enjoyed playing with children, and spoiling all of them she met. Alma enjoyed making new friends everywhere she went, and if she asked your name and birthday you better believe she'd remember it! She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her children, Barbara Letson, Tammy McDonald, Bertie (Dale) Webster, Carl McDonald, and Kelvin McDonald; grandchildren, Mollie McDonald, Linda (Brad) Letson, Amanda Letson, Montana (Dylan) Tucker, Jeremiah McDonald, Dalton Webster, Carson McDonald, and Anne (Nate) Thomas; great-grandchildren, Shaun Jaimes, Baylee Byers, Jackson Thomas, and Rhyder Tucker; sisters, Joyce Parker and Wynell Jetton; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Alma was preceded in death by her spouse of 51 years, William "Odie" McDonald; mother, Ethel Myers; and son-in-law, Vic Letson.

Pallbearers will be Jeremiah McDonald, Carson McDonald, Shaun Jaimes, Keith Letson, Kenny Parker, and Derrick Parrish.

The family extends special thanks to Dr. Patel, Dr. Ashley, and Nurse Practitioner Gini Montgomery; all of the associates at Clearview Cancer Institute; Home Health with Adoration; and the doctors, nurses, and staff at Decatur Morgan Hospital.
