Billy Hearod

Billy Joe Hearod, 86, of Moulton passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 at Decatur Morgan Hospital, Parkway Campus. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Dustin Warren officiating. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memory Gardens.

A veteran of the U.S. Army, Billy worked as a sewing machine mechanic in Ridgley Tennessee and in Texas. He also worked in the maintenance department at 3M and was a member of West Lawrence Church of God, a farmer and Santa Claus.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Hearod; sons, Kenneth Hastings (Charlotte), Matthew Shane Hastings (Rita) of Moulton and Tony Hilliard of Courtland; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Norma Jo Hilliard; an infant daughter and infant son; parents, Hugh and Evelyn Hearod Robison; and first wife, Norma Louis Hearod.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
