Billy Smith

Billy Gene Smith, 75, of Moulton passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022 at his home. A graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Midway Memorial Gardens with Marty Baldwin officiating. Lawrence Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Born on September 12, 1946 to the late Cecil and Avie Smith, Billy loved fishing, drinking his coffee, smoking his cigarettes, fussing, and being sarcastic. He also enjoyed listening to Elvis.

Survivors include his girlfriend, Virginia Campbell; daughters, Kim Smith (Jim), Jennifer Harville (Jack), Faith Muston (Andrew), Melissa Calhoun (Fidel), Rita Calhoun (Martin); son, Tony Calhoun (Stephanie); grandchildren, Nicole, Adalynn, Carmen, Austin, Diego, Maria, Samantha, Bailey and Lexi; sisters, Debbie Smith and Connie Smith; brother, Jackie Smith (Tina); and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Billy was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sue Smith; son, Timothy Gene Smith; parents; brothers, Cecil Smith, James Smith, and David Smith; sisters, Elizabeth Kelly, Betty Cottingham (his twin), Rhonda Smith, Shirley Roden, and Darean Martin.

Pallbearers will be Jim Bain, Jackie McDougle, Andrew Vines, Tony Calhoun, Wendel Melson and Martin Juan.

The family extends special thanks to Virginia Campbell for all the care and love you have shown Billy.
