Bobby Joe Gibson

Bobby Joe Gibson, 86, of Town Creek, Alabama passed away Saturday, September 19, 2026, at his residence. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Walter Blackman officiating. Burial will be at Fergason Cemetery.

Born on December 16, 1939, to Joseph and Vivian Alexander Gibson. Bobby enjoyed fishing, watching westerns, and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved his dog Lucky and occasionally his children.

Survivors include his children, Loretta (Michael) Cowley, Ronnie (Judith) Gibson, and Dana Terry; grandchildren, Chase (Courtney) Terry, Joseph (Breanna) Gibson, Anthony Gibson, Eric (Ashley) Gibson, Deanna Terry, Marenna Cowley, Makalyn Cowley, Makenly Cowley, Bryan McClendon, and Ashley Judge; great-grandchildren, Meleki Terry, Cooper Terry, Ansley Terry, Carter Gibson, Callie Gibson, Caitlyn Gibson, Addison McClendon, Anderson McClendon, Kooper Gibson, Kinsley Gibson, and Kayden Proctor; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Gibson; son, Tony Gibson; daughter, Marjorie Darlene Gibson; parents, Joseph and Vivian Gibson; sisters, Edna Faye Sparks and Joyce Barnes; brothers, Larry and Vernon Gibson.

Pallbearers will be Chase Terry, Joseph Gibson, Anthony Gibson, Eric Gibson, Meleki Terry, Cooper Terry, and Michael Cowley.
