Buddy Ellis

Burrell Howell "Buddy" Ellis, 88, of Moulton, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Madison Manor Nursing Home with his family present. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday, May 19, 2025 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Bro. Charles Williams officiating. Burial will be at Moulton Memory Gardens.

Born on September 23, 1936 to the late Burrell Jackson and Aulsie Palmer Ellis, Buddy served in the Army National Guard then worked for Wolverine Tube for 38 years and was also a cattle farmer.

Survivors include his children, Jeff (Bert) Ellis, Tammy Kaye (Jerry) Owens, and Patricia Butler; grandchildren, James Lynn Dunlap, Lucas Allen Dunlap, Brianna (Jonathan) Collett, Hillary Kaye Owens, and Sarah Owens; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Buddy was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Evans Ellis; parents; daughter, Rhonda Dunlap; and sister, Robbie Boyett.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
