Curtis Hall

Curtis Dennis Hall, of Deatsville, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his home on September 25, 2026.

Curtis was born on April 10, 1942, to Dennis and Ella Mae Nelson Hall. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose greatest joy came from his family and the time he spent making memories with those he loved.

Curtis is survived by his daughter-in-law, Dawn (Jeff) Roy; sister, Vickie Sanford; brother-in-law, Billy Smith; grandchildren, Kayla (Matt) Davis, Trey (Hannah) Hall, and Baylee Brothers; and great-grandchildren, Grayson Hall, Campbell Davis, Tinslee Brothers, River Hall, Brooks Davis, and Lainey Hall.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Freda Hall; his son, Brian Hall; his parents, Dennis and Ella Mae Hall; brothers, Corbet Hall and Walter Hall; and sisters, Myrtle Pugh and Dorothy Smith.

Curtis will be remembered for his loving heart, devotion to his family, and adventurous spirit. Some of the most treasured memories his family will carry with them are the many years he spent pulling his grandchildren behind the boat as they learned to ski, fishing, taking walks with his dogs and grandchildren, and simply enjoying the time spent together. He had a special way of bringing joy to those around him and created countless memories that his family will treasure forever.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the caregivers of Adoration Hospice and Faith Caregivers for the compassionate care, support, and kindness they provided to Curtis and his family. Special thanks to Deidra Worthy, Greg Worthy, Melissa Flores, Andrea Ware, Brenda Sullivan, Danielle Ware, and Britney Cleckler. Your kindness, dedication, and love meant so much to Curtis and his family during this difficult time. The family will forever be grateful for the comfort and dignity you provided during his final days.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 10:00 at Moulton Memory Gardens. The service will be graveside only.

Curtis leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through the generations. His greatest gift was not something that could be held in a hand, but something that will live forever in the hearts of the people he loved. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren will carry with them the memories of boat rides, long walks, laughter, adventures, and the simple moments that became some of life's most treasured memories.

Though his family will miss his presence, his love will remain-in every story they tell, every memory they share, and every moment that reminds them of him. He lived a life filled with love, family, adventure, and countless moments worth remembering.

Curtis may no longer be walking beside his family, but the path he made through their lives will remain forever. He was deeply loved, he will be deeply missed, and he will never be forgotten.
