Daphine Wallace

Daphine Sue Mote Wallace, 82, of Moulton, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Summer Oaks Post Acute Care in Murfreesboro, TN. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, July 5, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 12:00 Noon on Monday, July 6, at Liberty Community Church with Lynn Terry officiating. Burial will be at Moulton Memory Gardens in Moulton, AL, with family in attendance.

Born in Moulton on January 22, 1944, to Marion and Bessie Mote, Daphine enjoyed caring for her family, spending time with her grandchildren, fellowship with her church friends, singing in the choir, reading, and working outside in her yard and garden.

Survivors include two sons, Brandon Wallace (Lisa) and Sheldon Wallace (Lisa); 5 grandchildren, Colby Wallace (Delaine), Easton Wallace, Shelby Wallace, Sarah Wallace, and John Wallace; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Daphine was preceded in death by her husband, Jerius Wallace; parents, Marion and Bessie Mote; one grandson, Drake Wallace; one brother, Royal Mote; two sisters, Hilda Tate and Rose Mote.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews: Colby Wallace, Easton Wallace, John Wallace, Mark Jinks, Joey Blankenship, and Wesley Wallace. Honorary pallbearers include Gary Mote, Doug Mote, Kenneth Jinks, and Jason Blankenship.
