Dean Borden

Dora "Dean" Borden, 90, of Gardendale, Alabama formerly Moulton passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024. The graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Pinetorch cemetery with Bro. Charles Williams officiating.

Born on May 12, 1934, to Taft and Dora Hill McDaniel, Dean enjoyed traveling, reading, outdoors, and spending time with her pets.

Survivors include her two daughters, Susan (Tomas Lujan) Borden and Catherine (Randal) Sloan; grandchildren, Josh Sloan, Jamie Sloan, Rebecca Bibby, and Jimmy Robinson; great-grandchildren, Julian, Madelyn, and Evelyn Bibby; and extended family.

Dean was preceded in death by her spouse, Walter Borden.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family extends special thanks to the nurses and staff at Compassus Hospice.
