Doris Nell Parker Poston, 68, of Hatton passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022 at her home. Visitation will be from 6 till 8 p.m. on Monday, January 10 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 11 at the funeral home with Terry Landers officiating. Burial will be in Fergason Cemetery.
Born on March 7, 1953 to the late Melvin and Mary Harville Parker, Doris was a graduate of Hatton High School Class of 1971 and a faithful member of Cave Springs Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, spending time with her family, singing, raising a garden and canning.
Survivors include her children, Jamie Poston (Mamie) and Chasity Poston; grandchildren, Hunter Poston (Abbie), and Kamry Smith; great-grandson, Jesse Daniel Bo Poston; sisters, Kay Parker, and Loretta Young (Terry); brothers, Randall Parker (Donna), Phillip Parker (Tammy), and Tim Parker (Bridget), and honorary brother, Jackie Wright; fur babies, Flex and Squirt; and nieces and nephews, Shane Parker, Chanse Parker (Brittany), Corey Parker, Hope Proctor (Colvin), Dana Story (Paula), Jacob Young, Emmy Young, Dylon Parker, Bronson Parker (Lyndsi), Jessica Jones (David), Rebekah Montgomery (Matt), and Andrew Saint; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, and her adopted extended family.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, James Earl Poston; parents; and nephew, Larry Parker Gargis
Pallbearers will be Chanse Parker, Kyle Roberson, Brian Rutherford, Dylon Parker, Bronson Parker and Shane Parker. Honorary pallbearers are Jacob Young, and Andrew Saint.
