Dorothy “Dot” Long Parker
Dorothy Long Parker, 76, of Decatur passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Visitation will be from to 3 till 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. in the chapel with Hal Daigre officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens.
Survivors include her son, Jeff Parker of Decatur; daughter, Belinda Noe of Hartselle; twin sister, Betty Buttram of Chalybeate, sister, Faye Livingston of Milton Florida; grandsons, Todd Parker (Mindi) of Decatur, Braxton Parker (Christina) of Trinity, and Ryan Noe of Madison; and four great grandchildren.
Dot was preceded in death by her husband, James “Rayburn” Parker; parents, Paul and Ola Cameron Long; brother, Hayward Long; and sisters, Marie Thompson and Hilda Terry.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
