Franklin James Pasley, 93, of Wolf Springs, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The graveside service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Masterson Cemetery with Brandon Kerby officiating.
Born on July 26, 1932 to the late Grover and Lela Mooney Pasley, Frank graduated in 1950 from Wathena High School in Wathena, KS. He then joined the Army where he became a Paratrooper stationed at Fort Campbell, KY. After leaving the Army, Frank obtained his machinist certification. He worked for Reynolds Aluminum for over 30 years. After retiring Frank then became active with the Lawrence County Board of Registrars.
Frank was a long standing member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Wolf Springs. He loved to fish, deer hunt, teach simple mechanics and especially spend time with his grandchildren. Frank would often pen letters to his grandchildren as the ghost writer of his most beloved pets detailing their adventures with "Pop"!
Survivors include his children, Sherrie Martin, Phillip (Peri) Pasley, Kathy (Sandy) Boothe, and Felicia Collins; grandchildren, Matt (Tara) Martin, David (Leanne) Martin, Holly (Adrian) Brooks, Byron Pasley, Preston Pasley, Nick Lovett, Hailey (Nick) Weir, Malachi Collins, Harrison (Morgan) Boothe, and Laura (Brad) Peffer; great-grandchildren, Alison Martin, Ty Martin, Destin (Christian) Franco, Colton Martin, Addy Lovett, and Avery Boothe; brother, Leroy Battaglio; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Frank was preceded in death by his bride of 67 years, Doris Pasley; parents; great-granddaughter, Caitlyn Martin; brothers, Junior Pasley, Ed Pasley, and Al Pasley; sisters, Shirley Ingram, Donna George, and Alice Roberts; and son-in-law, Wade Martin.
Pallbearers will be Matt Martin, David Martin, Byron Pasley, Preston Pasley, Nick Lovett, and Malachi Collins.
The family extends special thanks to Preston Settle with the Alabama Department of Veteran Affairs, NHC of Moulton, and Daniel Freemon of Hospice of North Alabama.
