Gary L McGee

Gary L. McGee, 74, of Town Creek, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 08, 2026 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Bro. Johnny Hood officiating. Burial will be at Providence Cemetery.
Born on February 16, 1952 to the late Ben and Lora Smith McGee, Gary was the youngest of 11 children. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandbabies. Gary served for many years as a Baptist minister and was a member of the Baptist Association.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Theresa McGee; daughter, Rebecca (Ricky) Zills; grandchildren, CodyLane (Amberly) Jackson, and LilyGrace (Dakota) Harville; great-grandchildren, Colter Lane Jackson, Linen Grace Harville, and Christian Abel Harville; sisters, Shirley (Tony) Martin, and Patricia Vandiver; brother, Robert (Lisa) McGee; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Pallbearers will be Cody Jackson, Dakota Harville, Ricky Zills, Starsky Kirby, Owen Thompson, Preston Terry, and Vince Vandiver.
The family extends special thanks to the nurses and staff of the Critical Care Unit at NAMC, Gary's nurse practitioner, Jenny Montgomery, and Dr. Mann in Huntsville.
