Gentry Parker

Gentry Willard "Doolie" Parker Jr., 54, of Muscle Shoals passed away Friday, September 8, 2023 at St Thomas Hospital Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN. The graveside service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Fergason Cemetery with Darrin Parrish officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Born on October 12, 1968 to the late Gentry and Nettie Greene Parker, Doolie was an avid Alabama fan and a jokester. He loved spending time with his family, especially his wife and grandkids.

Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Doris Parker; children, Caleb Parker, Cody Parker, and Lucas (Gracie) Parker; five grandchildren; sisters, Betty (John) Hardy, and Brenda (David) McDaniel; brothers, Ronnie Parker, Frankie (Genise) Parker, and Donnie Parker; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.

The family extends special thanks to the nurses and staff of the ICU at St. Thomas.
