Shannon South

Hollis Shannon South, 48, of Hillsboro passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Lawrence Medical Center Moulton. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Monday, September 11, 2023 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home with Jackie Hill officiating. Burial will be at Moulton Memory Gardens.

Born on October 28, 1974 to Hollis and Deborah "Debbie" Thompson South, Shannon enjoyed working on his truck, drawing, and spending time with his four-legged friend. He also liked to help anyone in need if he was able.

Survivors include his daughter, Skylar South; mother, Debbie South; father, Hollis (Dee) South; brothers, David South, Dustin (Whitney Smith) South; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Hollis was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wallace and Faye Thompson and Russell and Pauline South.

Pallbearers will be Chris Swann, Marlon Cole, Scott Bendall, John Ward, DJ Vinson, and Logan Vinson.
