Robert Hutson Bradford, 82, of Mount Hope passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022 at his home. Visitation will be from 2 till 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Roger Houston officiating. Burial will be in Masterson Cemetery. Hutson was married to Betty Jane Bradford for 63 years.
Born on July 24, 1939 to the late Emmett and Bonzie Bradford, Hutson graduated from Mt. Hope High School and enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outside, and playing with his grandchildren. He was an extremely avid Alabama and Atlanta Braves Fan. ROLL TIDE!
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Betty Jane Bradford; children, Greg Bradford, Melanie Burden (Steve), and Kemalie Terry (Kevin); grandchildren, Cody Burden (Lizz), Lesli Price (Cody), Whitney Burden, Ashton McCraw (Justin), Matthew Grissom, Jadyn Burden, and Jasmine Burden; great-grandchildren, Trey, Buck, and Trent Burden, Ryleigh Jackson, Myla and Rhett Price, Carson and Ryder Flanagan, Tylie Boyd, and Aubree, Marshall, and Charlie McCraw; sisters, Dorothy Cook (Jimmy) and Linda Austin (Don); and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Hutson was preceded in death by his parents and stepmother, Ethel Bradford.
Pallbearers will be Cody Burden, Matthew Grissom, Carson Flanagan, Ryder Flanagan, Justin McCraw, and Cody Price. Honorary pallbearers are Jadyn Burden and Trey Burden.
