Jackie Borden

Jackie Ray Borden, 71, of Decatur, Alabama passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Huntsville Hospital. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 05, 2024, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The graveside service will be at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Owen Chapel Cemetery with Ronald Oliver officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing. Burial will be at Owen Chapel Cemetery.

Born on May 6, 1953, to William and Cora Suddith Borden, Jackie was a brick layer, and worked at the shell station on Beltline Road for many years.

Survivors include his sister, Ruth Hughes; brother, Donald Borden; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Jackie was preceded in death by his wife, Paulene Borden; parents, William and Cora Borden; two brothers, James Garth Borden and James Henry Borden; three sisters, Lois Peebles, Shirley Cross, and Susan Borden.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family extends special thanks to the nurses and staff at Huntsville Hospital and Sam and Ollie.
