Jackie Kerby

Jackie K. "Chevie" Kerby, 71, of Town Creek passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Monday, August 29, 2022 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home with Bro. Hollis Rutherford, Bro. Steve Agee, and Bro. Gary Dan Williams officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Town Creek, AL.

Born on February 9, 1951 to the late Jack and Murl Davis, Chevie enjoyed spending time with her family. A 1969 graduate of Hazlewood High school, she was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of nearly 53 years and the love of her life, Coy Kerby, children, Amanda Smith (Scottie), Holly Knighten (Harold), Chris Kerby (Tasha); grandchildren, Chelsey Smith, Brenton Knighten, Hailey Smith, Jackson Knighten, Cade Kerby, and Carson Kerby; sister, Kucera Kerby (Stevie); and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Chelsey Smith, Brenton Knighten, Hailey Smith, Jackson Knighten, Cade Kerby, and Carson Kerby.

The family extends special thanks to Dr. Sammy Becdach, all the employees at CCI of Decatur and Southern Care Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Big Oak Ranch of Gadsden, Alabama.
