James Bradford

James Henry Bradford, 80, of Town Creek, Alabama passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at his residence. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The graveside service will be at 12:30 PM on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Elmwood Cemetery with Bro. Scotty Hill officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.


Born on October 7, 1943, to Jack and Evelyn Stricklin Bradford, James was a deacon at Wheeler Grove Baptist Church. James enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family.


Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Flora Bradford; two sons, Larry Bradford and Jason Bradford; five grandchildren, Bryar Bradford, Jade Garner, Billijack Bradford, Skylar Bradford, and Peyton Marcum; nine great-grandchildren, Lexi Sutton, Austin Sutton, Bryson Mote, Bryce Bradford, Huck Bradford, Miles Bradford, Layton Watts, Phenix Briscoe, and Liam Briscoe; one sister, Linda Gail Fontenot; three brothers, Boyce-Lee Bradford, Billy (Sandra) Bradford, Carlton (Scarlett) Bradford, and Gary (Linda Kay) Bradford; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.


James was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Evelyn Bradford; two brothers, Grady Bradford and Rayburn Bradford; one sister, Glenda Sawyer; and son, Bryan Bradford.


Pallbearers will be Bryar Bradford, Billijack Bradford, Heath Bradford, BG Garner, Joel Weatherby, Ryan Dillard, and Lee Bradford.
