James Parker

James Elmer "Jimmy" Parker, 69, of Moulton passed away Friday, April 7, 2023 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, April 10, 2023 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Lawrence Funeral Home with his pastor, Bro. Fred Green and Pastor Scott Cramer officiating. Burial will be at Boger Cemetery.

Born on April 28, 1953 to the late Elmer and Sibyl Marlow Parker, Jimmy was a member of Elam Creek Missionary Baptist Church and loved Atlanta Braves Baseball. He was a member of the Jay-Cees and a Mason. Known as the "Best Mechanic in Moulton" Jimmy worked for Chenault Ford for over 20 years then opened his own business, Moulton Automotive. He finished his career as a mechanic at Daikin America.

Survivors include his wife Mona of 32 years; children, Shea (Brian) Letson, Scott (Amanda) Cramer, Brandon (Miranda) Nappier; grandchildren, Zeath Parker, Zane Letson, Chloe Cramer, Callie Cramer, Justus Cramer, Carleigh Cramer, Addison Nappier, Brinlee Nappier, Daxton Nappier, and Branson Nappier; sisters, Ruby (Edward) Hood, Tammy (Robert) Harrison; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Phyllis Montgomery Parker; brother, Bobby Parker; sister, Glenda Sue Parker; and brother-in-law, Edward Hood.

Pallbearers will be Robert Harrison, Trace Richard, Braelon Richard, Waylon Cameron, Michael "Corn Dog" Woodard, and Doug Hood.

The family extends special thanks to Dr. Robert Hall and his nurses and staff, along with Lawrence Medical Center, Greg's Ambulance and Decatur Morgan ER personnel for their care and compassion.
