Jerry Don Herron

Jerry Don Herron, 80, of Town Creek, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at his home. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 08, 2026 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fergason Cemetery.
Born on July 28, 1946 to the late Clarence and Meartice Odom Herron, Jerry loved to be outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, doing yard work and raising all kinds of animals over the years.
Survivors include his wife Patricia Purser; children, Lorraine (Chris) Kinard, and Jerry Don Herron, Jr.; step-children, Dewayne (Lisa) Purser; Matthew (Kathy) Purser, Mikeal (Deannea) Purser; grandchildren, Katherine Herron, William Herron, Kayla (Dylan) Frederick, Bradley (Madison) Kinard, Lindsey (Dillon) Purser, Katlynn (Jeremy) Jones, Noel (Lucas) Terry, Nickolas (Kassidy) Purser, Trent (Haley) Purser, Stephanie Purser, Taylor Terry, Brooke Terry, and Brandon Terry; great-grandchildren, Atlas Swims, Selina Herron, Eowyn Herron, Holden Frederick, Gemma Frederick, Johnathan Kinard, Knox Thompson, Molly Schwenk, Rowan Jones, Espn Terry, Waylon Terry, Walker Terry, Avery Purser, Nate Purser, Hazel Terry, Aubrey Hart, Addison Hart, Wyatt Hart, Addison Purser, and Remington Purser; sisters, Mary Norman, Violet Yaselsky; brothers, Raymond (Mary) Herron, and Harvey (Aletha) Herron; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; great-grandchildren, Owen Swims, and Joseph Thompson; brothers, JW Herron, Bob Herron, Billy Ray Herron, Carl Herron, and George Herron; sister, Opal Brown.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
