Joseph Pierce

Joseph Darrell Pierce, 74, of Hatton, AL passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at his residence. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM till 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Hatton Church of Christ. The celebration of life will follow at 2:00 PM with Chris Miller, Ben Phillips and Hubert Gholston officiating. Burial will be in Landersville Cemetery.

Survivors include his daughter, Shawna Pierce; sister, Anna Berryman; the love of his life, Sheryl Pierce; his beloved cats, Bumpus, Sister and Double Dot; and 20 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Richard Pierce and Eula Cameron Pierce; sisters, Christine Montgomery, Betty Hill, and Gwendolyn Pierce.

Pallbearers will be family and friends

The family extends special thanks to Lorie Knight, who was his Hospice nurse and so much more. He loved and trusted her completely. Also, special thanks to Margaret Gaddis for all the special meals and the loving care she gave him and to all the cousins and friends that checked on him each day and did whatever was needed.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hatton Church of Christ Building Fund.
