August 28, 1943 — September 17, 2016
Lloyd Neal Wimbs, 73, of Danville passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Lawrence Medical Center. Visitation will be from to 12:00 till 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Lawrence Funeral Home of Moulton. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Steve Bradford officiating.
A member of the Baptist church, Mr. Wimbs was preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Carrie Terry Wimbs; grandsons, Cory Atkins and John Brady Douglas; and brothers, Hershell, Haskell and Tony Wimbs.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Borden; sons, Chris (Jana Goodwin) and Cameron Goodwin of Toney, and Liles Wimbs (Trish) of Danville; daughters, Dee Dee Honea (Mike) of Tennessee, Becky Wimbs (Carlos) of Addison, Sherry Sawyer (David) of Lynn, and Lisa Douglas (Adam Denson) of Danville; brother, Buck Wimbs (Ann) of Texas, sister, Janie Campbell of Decatur; 23 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Carlos Morning, David Sawyer, Jeremy Sawyer, Brandon Wimbs, Tyler Swims, John Chaney and Chase Butler.
