Marie Sandlin

Marie Sandlin, 89, of Moulton, Alabama passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at her daughter's residence, surrounded with peace and love. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Moulton Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Moulton Baptist Church with Dr. Jesse Reeder officiating. Burial will be at Moulton Memory Gardens.

Born on April 13, 1936, to Travis and Bessie Rose Ellen Harper Williams. Marie was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She was blessed with being a Sunday School teacher for the small children for many years at Moulton Baptist Church. She was asked to become a school teacher for the 4th grade at Moulton Intermediate School for a few years in the mid sixties when teachers could not be found, and she was also an office manager for a number of years.

Marie's memory will be honored and kept alive by her daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Angela Sandlin (James Earl) Clark; grandchildren, Nichla Marie Clark, James Earl "Trey" Clark III, and Hailey Ryan (Christian) Tuttle; great-grandchildren, Cade Wyatt Clark, Callen James Clark, Crew Henry Clark, and Clara Davi Tuttle; sisters, Elaine (Gary) McDaniel and Earline (Ralph) Stephenson; brother, Jerry Williams; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Travis and Bessie Rose Ellen Harper Williams; her husband of 55 years, Owen D. Sandlin; son, Nicholas Owen Sandlin; brothers, Waymon Williams, Orbie Lee Williams, and Ivan Williams.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Bruton, Micah Clark, Trey Clark, Doyle Dutton, Adam Stephenson, and Christian Tuttle.

The family extends special thanks to Affinity Hospice and her caregiver, Charlene Chandler.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
