Martha Baker

Martha Katrina Baker, 58, of Birmingham, passed away Monday, June 10, 2024 at her home. Her graveside service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Chris Godbee officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Born on February 27, 1966 to the late F D and Willene Johnson Hensley, Martha was a graduate of Speake High School and enjoyed singing at Enon Baptist Church where she was a member for many years. She loved coloring on her tablet and never missed an Alabama game, recalling many players and game stats from past years.

Survivors include her husband of nine years, Brett Baker; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family and friends.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents; and grandparents, B L and Muriel Johnson, and Lige and Ethel Hensley.

The family extends special thanks to her hospice nurse, Mathew Dodson with Amedisys Hospice of Birmingham.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a local animal shelter.
