Melvin Hagood

Melvin Hagood, 72, of Moulton passed away Monday, April 6, 2020 due to a tractor accident. There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Moulton Memory Gardens with Atwell Terry officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home assisting the family. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens.

Melvin was a retired pipefitter. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved gardening and spoiling his dog, Oscar. Melvin was a second father to Jason and Joe Fike and was loved by many people.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years; Julia Ray Terry Hagood, two brothers; Herschal Hagood (Patricia) and Dwight Hagood, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Charlie and Myrtle Hodge Hagood, an infant son; David Hagood, two brothers; James Hagood and Red Hagood, and one sister; Daphine Fike

Pallbearers will be Jason Fike, Joe Fike, Harold Hagood, Keith Terry, Joy Lee Terry and John Owens. Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Fike, Atwell Terry, Leland Jones and Lawrence Terry.
