Miles Daniel Cross, 72, of Town Creek, Alabama passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Lawrence Funeral Home with Pastor Anthony Muston and Pastor Thomas Smith officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.


Born on February 13, 1953, to Wayne Cross and Peggy Blaxton Cross. Miles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Miles was a member of Muscle Shoals Baptist Church. He enjoyed going hunting and fishing. Most importantly, Miles was a class of 71 Hazlewood Golden Bear for life, and in case you didn't know they were the first class to win state in football at Hazlewood.

Survivors include his wife Elaine Cross; children, Kim (Will) Pettus, Heath (Jamie) Cross, Chasidy (Billy)
Atchison, and Matt (Kira) Wilbanks; thirteen grandchildren, Logan Harville, Karlie Harville, Kellsie Barrows, Cameron Cross, Sadie Cross, Eli Cross, Jake Pettus, Macy Pettus, Charlotte Atchison, Penny Atchison, Jaxson Wilbanks, Kyndall Wilbanks, and Wynter Wilbanks; six great-grandchildren; sister, Shannon (Tim) Agee; brothers, Tim (Sonya) Cross, Matt Cross, Neal (Vickie) Nicholson, and Jeff Nicholson; sister-in-laws, Kay Cross and Tina Brackin; special friend, Debbie Evans; hunting and fishing friend, Lynn Parker; and his dog child, BooBoo and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.


Miles was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Cross; mother, Peggy Brackin; step-father, Nick Nicholson; two brothers, Tommy Brackin and Randy Cross.

Pallbearers will be Billy Atchison, Logan Harville, Cameron Cross, Jake Pettus, Neal Nicholson, Jeff Nicholson, Oscar Kirby, and Lynn Parker.
