Peggy Malone

Peggy Appleton Malone, 70, of Moulton passed away Friday, June 30, 2017 at her home. Visitation will be from to 12 till 2 p.m. on Monday, July 3, 2017 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Keith Jones officiating. Burial will be in Rutherford Cemetery.
A graduate of Lawrence County High School, Peggy received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Calhoun College. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, traveling, camping and spending time in nature and God’s bounty.
Survivors include her husband, Laborn Malone of Minor Hill, Tennessee; brother, Bobby Appleton of Neel; sisters, Joan Appleton of Decatur and Jeannette Mennes (Tom) of Moulton; stepson, Larry Blankenship, Jr. (Jessica) of Moulton; stepdaughter, Angie Patrick (Richard) of Illinois; four step grandchildren, six step great grandchildren; nephews, Brock Appleton and Blake Mennes; and niece, Shanna Mennes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie and Dorothy Cagle Appleton; first husband, William Larry Blankenship and nephew Josh Memmes.
Pallbearers will be John Stone, Tim Martin, Brock Appleton, Steven Hudson, Larry Blankenship and Jerry Appleton.
