Rachael Scott

Rachael Leanne Scott, 27, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023 at her home. Her family will plan a memorial service at a later date. Lawrence Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Born on December 9, 1996 to Samuel M. Scott and Sheila Gouge Scott, Rachael was loved by many and will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, and mother.

Survivors include her children, Lily Taylor, and Malachi Scott; her parents; her siblings, Amanda, Samuel V, Sonja, Christopher, Shana, Angela, Tyler, and Elisabeth; her boyfriend, Tim Witherspoon; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Rachael was preceded in death by her sister, Ashleigh.

The family extends special thanks to Brittany Cortez for her friendship, guidance and support for Rachael.
