Shannon Borden

Shannon Lynn Borden, 47, of Moulton passed away Monday, December 13, 2021 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Visitation will be from 12 till 2 p.m. on Friday, December 17, 2021 at Corinth Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the church with Johnathan Proctor officiating. Burial will be in Corinth Cemetery with Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Born on January 4, 1974 to AJ and Faye Borden, Shannon was an avid Alabama fan who loved to fish, coach basketball, and listen to music. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Kayla Borden; children, Whitney (Matt) Cook, Hunter Borden, Brookelyn Borden; grandchildren, Brayden, Braylee, Brynslee, and Josie Cook; mother, Faye Borden; brother, Michael Borden; sister, Amy Kirk (Gary); and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Shannon was preceded in death by his father, AJ Borden; and daughter, Tara Borden.

Pallbearers will be Cody Terry, Timothy Hamilton, Dillon Hamilton, Gary Kirk and Oneal Hamilton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Zachary Borden and John Brannon.

The family extends special thanks to Shannon’s nurses and the staff of the 2nd Floor ICU at Decatur Morgan Hospital.
