Thomas Lawrence Borden

Thomas Lawrence Borden, 57, of Mt. Hope, passed away Friday, October 9, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Monday, October 12, 2026 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home with Chaplain Nick Ray officiating. Burial will be at Cave Springs Cemetery.

Born on May 2, 1969 to Thomas "Jerry" and Lynn Bean Borden, Thomas attended Mount Hope School and Pima Community College in Tucson, AZ where he received a degree in plumbing. When not taking care of his chickens, he enjoyed brewing, computer games, and watching History shows and documentaries. Most of all, Thomas loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Lorie Borden; children, Cody Borden, Alexandra (Zach) Wright, and Zac Borden; grandson, Carter Howard; his pride and joy, BB and Summer; brother, Tim (Heather) Borden; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Thomas "Jerry" Borden.

Pallbearers will be Zac Borden, Zach Wright, Tim Borden, Jeremy Denney, Conley Bush, Jason Denney, Thomas Henley, and Joseph Denney. Honorary pallbearers are Carter Howard, Cody Borden, Ray Stone.

The family extends special thanks to the Clearview Cancer Institute in Huntsville, Shoals Hospital, and Gentiva Hospice.
