Truby Lee Horton

Truby Lee Horton, 82, of Moulton, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2026 at Terrace Manor Nursing and Rehab in Russellville. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Union Hill Cemetery.
Born on July 6, 1943 to the late Charlie and Maudie Harris Swims, Truby was a longtime member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She loved flowers, sewing, riding and shopping. Truby also loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Scharlene (Fred) Holland, David Horton, and Anthony (Nicki) Horton; grandchildren, Michael (Amber) Horton, Joseph (Stashia) Hamby, Amanda Hamby Terry, and Latasha Horton; great-grandchildren, Isaiah Terry, Adam Xavier Terry, Slade Hamby, Lili Horton, Brennon Potter, Brandon Woodard, Jaycie Potter, and Brittany Woodard; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Truby was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Charles Horton; parents; brothers, Murphy (Gladys) Swims, Orbie (Freda) Swims, Johnny Swims, and Wendell Swims; sisters, Wanda Lee Garrison, Ruby (Travis) Martin, and Eerlen and Perlen Swims. 
Pallbearers will be Michael Horton, Joseph Hamby, Isaiah Terry, Xavier Terry, Johnny Swims, and Anthony Horton.
The family extends special thanks to the nurses and staff at Terrace Manor, especially the CNA's who helped care for Truby.
