Vanessa Crumpton

Vanessa Denise Crumpton, 58, of Russellville passed away Friday, October 26, 2018. Visitation will be from 6 till 8 p.m. on Monday, October 29, 2018 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Prairie Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Trevor Hallmark officiating. Burial will be in Gargis Cemetery.

A member of Prairie Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Vanessa worked as a CNA at NHC in Moulton. She enjoyed making jewelry and spending time with her family, especially when everyone gathered together.

Survivors include her children, Michael Wesley (Amy) Kerby, Ashley Denise Porter, Charity Kirby (fiance Brock), and Terry Lynn (Cristy) Crumpton, II; grandchildren, Garrett Kyle Daniel, Rylan Eric Daniel, Mason Jake Daniel, Daren Alan Spires, Elana Grace Crumpton; sister, Jacquline (Mikan) Kerby and Agatha Sharlene Garcia; brother, Kevin Floyd (Christy) Mitchell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her life partner, Michael Lloyd; and parents, Floyd and Yvonne Mitchell.

Pallbearers will be Chris Crowder, Ethan Parker, Garrett Daniel, Rylan Daniel, Tyler Kerby, and Daren Spires.

The family extends special thanks to the BMT Unit and Palliative Care staff at UAB.
