Bertie Phelps

Bertie Mae Phelps, 74, of Moulton passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Cypress Cove Center. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Chalybeate United Methodist Church Cemetery on County Road 305 in Moulton with Rickey Newell officiating.

Born on March 15, 1946, an only child to the late Arnold and Maudie Mae Spillers, Bertie was dedicated to her family. She loved the Lord and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her daughters, Toni Randolph (Junior), Belinda Hood (David), and Krystal Ray (Jonathon); grandchildren, Candace Chaney (Matt), Rayne Curtis, Autumn Ray, and Harley Ray; and great-grandsons, Jordan Chaney and Austin Chaney.

Bertie was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Phelps, and second husband, Nathaniel Owens; and son, Kenny Phelps.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Moore, David Moore, Jonathon Ray, Matt Chaney, Timmy Knight and David Hood. Honorary pallbearers are Jordan and Austin Chaney.

The family extends special thanks to the nurses and staff at Cypress Cove for their love and care.
