Betty Randolph

Betty Jo Randolph, 87, of Town Creek passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Helen Keller Hospital. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. on Friday, October 9 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Bro. Hollis Rutherford officiating. Burial will be in Blackground Cemetery.

Born on November 19, 1932 to the late Paul and Mary Terry, Betty Jo was the oldest member of Bethany Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading the Bible, working puzzle books and cooking.

Survivors include her son, James “Jim” Randolph; granddaughter, Missy Randolph Wade (daughter of the late Charles Thomas Randolph); sisters, Katie Hill and Linda Kingsley. She was loved by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Betty Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Paul Randolph; son, Charles Thomas Randolph, infant son Joseph Randolph; stepson, Paul Eugene “Gene” Randolph; and many brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers will be James Randolph, Bryce Wade, Tanner Wade, Matt Jordan, Randy Hill, Ricky Joe Terry, and Ronnie McElroy.

The family extends special thanks to the staff at Columbia Cottage and the third floor day shift nurses and caregivers at Keller Hospital.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bethany Baptist Cemetery Committee.
