Charles Mears, Sr.

Charles Eugene Mears, Sr. 67, of Russellville passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020 at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence. Visitation will be from 5 till 7 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2020 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at the funeral home with James Mears officiating. Burial will be in Fergason Cemetery.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 41 years, Treva Mears; sons, Terry Mears (Dana) and Chuckie Mears (Jessica); daugher, Brandy Mears (Will Scott); grandchildren, Phillip Steele, Blake Mears, Tyler Liverett, Ashlie Mears, Brody Scott, CJ Mears, and Autumn Scott; brothers, Alvie Mears, Ralph Mears, and James Mears; sister, Francis Leeth; and several nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Earline Mears; father, William C. Mears; brother, Hershel Mears; and sister, Gerthie Lee Cooke.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Bean, Gene Tidwell, Eric Mears, Joe Mears, Tim West and Jarrett West. Honorary pallbearer is Joey Bean.

The family extends special thanks to his CCU nurses on the second floor.
