Charles “Pops” Parker, 73, of Danville passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at his home. Visitation will be from 6 till 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 30 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 31 at the funeral home with Ronald Oliver and Jerry Hill officiating. Burial will be in Andrews Chapel Cemetery.
Born on May 5, 1948 to the late Clyde and Pauline Parker, Charles was a self employed brick mason for 44 years and then worked for CFSCO Construction for 10 years. He was an avid lifetime deer hunter and fisherman, and he loved horses.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Mary Roxanna Parker; daughters, Dana Hill and Maria Steele (John Hill); grandchildren, Caleb Hill (Hannah), MaRay Blaxton, and Josie Hill; great-grandchildren, Ellie Kate Hill, Waylon Hill, and Case Hill; siblings, Opaline Rabren (Eddie), Sue Nell Mitchell, Harold Parker (Emily), Oneal Parker (Connie), and Gary Parker (Diane); and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Magdelane McDougle, Barbara Ann Richarson, and Ozell Parker; brother, Ronnie Parker; and brother-in-law, Charles Mitchell.
Pallbearers will be Caleb Hill, John Hill, Terry Lynn Hill, Craig Blaxton, David Hill, and Wade Hill.
