Harold Smothers

Harold E. Smothers, 86, of Moulton passed away Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Visitation will be from 2 till 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Neil Carter officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Garden.

A graduate of Hayden High School, Harold served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed working in his wood shop, hunting, fishing and cooking.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Barbara A. Smothers; brothers, Hulon Smothers of Merritt Island, FL and Buddy Smothers (Sandy) of Statesboro, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews with a special mention to Scott.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Gracie Smothers; two brothers and three sisters.

Pallbearers will be Grason Cottingham, Jay Williams, Zack Terry, Gwen Terry, Jr., James Alexander, and Cody Jones.

The family extends special thanks to Drs. Timothy Weirick and James Boyle for their great care.
