June Dawson

June Nell Masterson Dawson, 78, of Hartselle passed away Monday, August 9, 2021 at her daughter’s residence. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM till 2:00 PM on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel Kasey Maze speaking and Jason Greene officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Methodist Cemetery.

Momma June was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Her heart and generosity knew no bounds. She loved the Lord first and foremost. Her door was always open. She lived a simple life, it didn’t take much to make her happy. Momma June treasured her loved ones and never stopped praying for them.

Survivors include her children; Tracy McGee, Vincent Dawson and Renee NeSmith (Mackey), Special Daugher in law; Millinean Mansell (Wife of Geno), four grandchildren; Matthew McGee, Kasey Maze (Matt), Kristin Stewart (Drew) and Vincent Christopher Dawson (Amanda), three great grandchildren; Caroline and Tegan Stewart and Marley Maze, three brothers; Jimmy Masterson (Diane), Ernie Masterson (Ophie) and Eddie Masterson, two sisters; Judy Clifford (Pat) and Debbie Masterson and sister in law; Ruby Richlinski, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Ray Christopher Dawson, her son; William “Geno” Dawson, her parents; Howard “Pop” Masterson and Mae Drue Alesi (Vince), one brother; Buddy Masterson.

Pallbearers will be Danny Joe NeSmith, Eric Vest, Matt Maze, Eddie Masterson, Ernie Masterson and Greg Lawrence. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mackey NeSmith and Billy Ray Dawson.
