Louise Cole

April 29, 1940 — February 21, 2022

Louise Thrasher Cole, 81, of Mt. Hope passed away Monday, February 21, 2022 at Russellville Hospital. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM till 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Rex Riddle and Roger Houston officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Garden.

Born April 29, 1940 to Bill and Bessie Thrasher, Louise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. To know her was to Love her. Louise was a member of New Zion Baptist Church and attended Mount Hope Senior Center. She loved to quilt quilts, play games on her iphone, can vegetables, watch sports on tv and put puzzles together. Louise loved Auburn and Labron James.

Survivors include two sons; Lowell Thomas Cole Jr. and Winford Gaines Cole (Laura), four daughters; Lynn Hand (Stacy Morgan), Beverly Cole, Cindy Lane and Dana Riddle (Rex), thirteen grandchildren; Whitney Lane (Beth), Matthew Hand (Brittney), Joshua Riddle (Brittany), Chloe Lane, Gunner Lane, JaHala Shields, Lexi Cole (Patrick), Kelea Nolan, Aiden Nolan, Laila Bechtel, Matt Rollins, Rebeca Maples and Angie Bradford and three great grandchildren; Patience Hand, Karisma Hand and Autumn Hand, one brother; Dewey Thrasher and three sisters; Barbara Hawkins, Faye Nichols and Linda Latham, two sister-in-laws, Wanda Thrasher and Cathy Thrasher.

She was preceded in death by her husband of forty nine years; Lowell Thomas Cole Sr., her parents; one granddaughter; JaTara Shields, two brothers; Billy Thrasher and Ray Thrasher, her twin sister; Wanize Vest, and son-in-law, Bobby Hand.

Pallbearers will be Gunner Lane, Matthew Hand, Joshua Riddle, Patrick Lewis, John Lane, Charles Rollins, Stacy Morgan and Matt Rollins.

The family extends special thanks to Greg’s Ambulance Service, Mt. Hope Fire and Rescue and Russellville Hospital Staff, especially ICU.
