Ronnie Corum

Ronnie O. Corum, 59, of Danville passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at UAB Hospital. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, May 15 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at noon with Keith Jones and Chris Parker officiating. Burial will be in Bald Knob Cemetery.

Born on August 7, 1961 to the late Rubin and Alma Haynes Corum, Ronnie enjoyed coon hunting, working at Hatton Tire Store, and spending time with his church family at Lebanon United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Essie Corum; sons, Marlon Corum (Robin) and Greg Dotson; daughter, Jennifer Compton (Heath); brothers, Gary Corum, William “Bones” Corum (Teresa), Larry Corum (Angie), and Steve Corum (Lawanda); sister, Jeannette Ellis (Audie); five grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Sherry Weems Corum; brother, Timmy Corum; and sister, Tammy Corum.

Pallbearers will be Gary, Bones, Larry, and Steve Corum, Greg Dotson, and Tim Corum. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Camden, Colton, and Tytus, and Joey Corum.

The family extends special thanks to the staff of the UAB Heart Transplant Intensive Care Unit.
