Syble Franks Sutton, 89, of Town Creek passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Lawrence Medical Center. Visitation will be from 1 till 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 13 at Harris Chapel Church of God of Prophecy. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the church with James Wallace and Edward Croyle officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens with Lawrence Funeral Home directing.
Born on May 2, 1932 to the late Allen and Nellie Roden Franks, Syble was a member of Harris Chapel Church of God of Prophecy for 70 years. She loved gardening, and working with her flowers but most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
Survivors include her children, Betty Jones (Gerry) and Shirley Holland (Roy); daughters-in-law, Debbie Smith Sutton, Juanita Craft and Brenda Coffey Delashaw; son-in-law, Darrell Quails, Sr.; grandchildren, Tony Love (Donna Kay), Amy Godsey (Greg), Steve Jones (Dewanna), Scott Jones (Tina), Penny Glover (Casey), Gabriel Sutton (Kim), Montana Murphree (Jonathan), Darrell Quails, Jr. (Kaci), Kessha Hood (Patrick), Chad Steadman, Jeremy Steadman (Allison) and Andy Oliver; 25 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; sister, Sue Hooper; several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Syble was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Sutton; parents; sons, Carlos Sutton and Kyle Sutton; daughter-in-law, Freda Taylor Sutton; son-in-law, Charles "Joe" Love; and granddaughter, April Sutton.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
